Assessors from different prestigious La Salle schools in the Philippines will be visiting La Salette School, the only De La Salle Supervised School in Region 1 on February 12-13, 2008.

The Lasallian Assessment is a periodic visit of Lasallian administrators where they evaluate the degree of achievement relative to the school’s quest for quality education.  Areas to be evaluated are: Vision-Mission, Personnel, Curriculum & Instruction, Student & Physical Plant and Facilities.  This year’s visit comes at a time when La Salette School is vying for another level of excellence – Supervised-Assessed Level 1 – from its current status of Supervised-Probationary.

The assessment team will be headed by Br. Kenneth Martinez FSC, the Brother President of De La Salle – Canlubang.  Br. Kenneth will be accompanied by Dr. Herminia Torres, the Superintendent of the Lasallian Schools Supervision Office (LASSO) and former Executive Vice President of De La Salle University-Dasmarinas, and Mrs. Presentacion Gabriel of the Manila Archdiocesan and Parochial Schools Association (MAPSA) and former Executive Director of the De La Salle University System.  Two (2) administrators from La Salle Green Hills (LSGH) will also be observing the assessation process, namely: Mr. Jose Ramelle Javier, LSGH Principal and La Salette School supervisor; and, Ms. Agnes Alonzosano, LSGH administrator and supervisor of a Supervised School in Cavite.

La Salette President Dr. Lina Galvan-Tan, the former Higher Education Chief, reiterated La Salette’s commitment to excellence: “The forthcoming La Salle assessation is our way of showing to the Dagupenos our commitment towards quality education.  This is our 3rd assessment already and so much has been achieved in such short a time.  This is an extraordinary recognition resounded to all La Salle schools all over the Philippines.”
